VOTING IN ARIZONA

Not convicted of a felony (unless civil rights restored)
Not currently adjudicated incapacitated by court

Registration closes 29 days before Election Day at 11:59 p.m.

Documentary Proof of Citizenship (DPOC)

Arizona requires proof of citizenship to vote a full ballot (federal, state, and local). Accepted documents include valid Arizona Driver License/ID issued after October 1, 1996, passport, birth certificate, or tribal card.

Registrants without DPOC are registered as "federal-only" voters.

Complete the Federal Postcard Application (FPCA).

Receive your ballot, or use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB).

Return your marked ballot by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

ID REQUIREMENTS

Show acceptable ID at the polling place. Choose ONE of these options:

Option 1: One Photo ID

Arizona driver's license, tribal ID, or U.S. government photo ID

Option 2: Two Non-Photo IDs

With matching address (dated within 90 days)

Utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, property tax statement, tribal card, or voter registration card

Option 3: Mix & Match

Photo ID (non-matching address) + Non-photo ID (matching address)
U.S. Passport + Non-photo ID (matching address)

VOTING BY MAIL

Vote by mail in Arizona — all registered voters can participate.

Active Early Voter List (AEVL)

Sign up to automatically receive a mail-in ballot for every election.

Request Deadline

One-time early ballot requests must be received by your County Recorder by 5:00 p.m. on the 11th day before Election Day.

BECOME A POLL WORKER IN ARIZONA

To serve, you must:

Be a U.S. citizen and a registered voter in the Arizona county where you serve.
High school students 16 years or older may also serve as student clerks with parent and school permission.

Duties include:

Managing vote center operations, checking in voters, verifying ID, issuing ballots, and securing voting equipment.

Paid Service Earn Hourly Pay Poll workers are paid a stipend set by their respective County Board of Supervisors (compensation varies by county and position).
