ABOUT THE SERIES
Come Hell or High Water is a multi-event series bringing together election officials, veteran organizations, and community leaders to explore how elections are administered during and after major crises.
The series includes three in-person events tied to the anniversaries of major natural disasters: Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas, Hurricane Helene in Asheville, North Carolina, and Hurricane Milton in Tampa, Florida. Each event features local election officials discussing disaster preparedness and response. And virtual events round out the series, covering broader disruptions such as COVID-19 and ongoing threats like wildfires in Washington state.
Throughout, the series highlights the resilience of election infrastructure and the people who sustain it: veteran poll workers, election clerks, and community volunteers.
