VOTING IN FLORIDA
Everything you need to know to vote in Florida.
ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION
How to register
- Online
- Through any tax collector's office or driver license renewal
- At designated voter registration agencies
- By mail or in person at your County Supervisor of Elections office
- At local libraries and authorized Fish and Wildlife agencies
- Military and overseas voters can use the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA)
MILITARY & OVERSEAS VOTERS
Complete the Federal Postcard Application (FPCA).
Receive your ballot, or use the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB).
Return your marked ballot by Election Day.
*Military and overseas voters may have different deadlines. Check with your County Supervisor of Elections or FVAP for details.
ID REQUIREMENTS
When voting in person, Florida voters must present a current and valid photo ID with a signature.
Acceptable forms of identification include:
- Florida Driver’s License or Identification Card
- U.S. Passport
- Military ID
- Veteran Health Identification Card
- Student ID
- Government Employee ID
- Concealed Weapon License
If your photo ID does not include your signature, you may present an additional document containing your signature.
VOTING BY MAIL
- All registered Florida voters may request a Vote-by-Mail ballot through their County Supervisor of Elections.
- Voters may return their ballot by mail, at a secure drop box, or at any voting location in their county.
- Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received by your County Supervisor of Elections no later than 7:00 PM on Election Day to be counted.

Upcoming Statewide Elections
Register to vote or change party affiliation by July 20, 2026 (Primary) or October 5, 2026 (General).
Vote-by-Mail request deadlines: August 6 (Primary) or October 22 (General).
Early voting runs August 8–15 (Primary) and October 24–31 (General).
BECOME A POLL WORKER IN FLORIDA
To serve, you must:
- Be a registered voter in the Florida county where you will serve
- Be a resident of that county
- Be able to read and write English
- Complete the required training before each election
Duties may include:
- Checking in voters
- Issuing ballots
- Assisting voters
- Counting ballots after polls close

Nevada State Lead
Teena Barna is a Marine Corps combat veteran, veteran advocate, and community leader dedicated to serving those who have served. With 18 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps. In 2024, Teena served as the Director of Nevada for Vet The Vote, where she was instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission to empower veterans through civic engagement and increase voter participation. Her leadership played a key role in strengthening outreach efforts and mobilizing the veteran community across Nevada. Teena and her family have recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where she continues her mission of service—supporting the veteran community and strengthening connections among those who serve.
